Here are a few tips when performing your squats.
1. Push up with your heels not with your toes
2. Only go as low as you know that you can return back upright safely. In the beginning you might not be able to go as low but don't be disheartened you will get your strength to go lower rather quickly.
3. Do them after using the restroom. It will help it become a habit when you attach the squats with an everyday activity.
4. Break your squats up into chunks if you can't do them all at once. I like to do 15-20 at a time when starting out.
There is absolutely no shame in wanting to become your best self in everything you do. Before you think that I am only about image, you must not misunderstand my message. My message is to not act like you are better than anyone else but to be your best self. Everyone knows that when we look our best it can help us feel our best and when we feel are best we are more confident, fearless, unstoppable and ready to take on daily challenges with a better head on our shoulders. So go grab life and don't let your inner voice that tells you can't win. You can win because you were born to win. (and why not have a tighter bum while you do it!) ha ha
Tomorrow we will start the 30 day squats challenge. If you are finding this post on a different day other than today's original post day, then tomorrow will start your 30 day squats challenge. Don't say well this isn't the 1st day of the month so the 30 days is weird. Start your 30 days whenever you want in a month because whether or not it's the first of the month or the eleventh of the month, 30 days is still 30 days. I believe in you and know you can do this. Why shouldn't you transform your body into it's best self. If you have a knee injury consult your doctor before beginning, or when you do your squats don't go as deep. You will still reap the benefits of toning and conditioning.
Click on the link and print this schedule off and put it somewhere you will see it daily and then color in the day once you have checked it off. Let's see some before and afters when you are done!
Here is a 30 day squats challenge. Be sure to break up your squats if you can't do them all at once.
According to What's Cooking America, you can find out how many calories you burn in one minute doing squats by multiplying .096 by your weight in pounds. For example, someone who weights 150 lb. would determine that .096 x 150 = 14.4 calories per minute.
Seriously it doesn't take much to tone up and be healthy. You don't need fancy workout gear to get it done either. I honestly hate the thought of "working out" because I have to or having to change into crazy workout gear even before I begin.
My secret? Squat 10 times every time I take a trip to the rest room. Pretty soon you have done about 40-50 squats a day!
I am going to show you how easy this is over the next 60 days or until July 23 rd which is my birthday. I am giving myself tighter legs and butt for my birthday present to myself and on my birthday I will post my before and afters!
When is your birthday and what do you want to give yourself?
I personally will be doing 37 squats 10 times throughout the day to reach my 300 squats a day. I have been doing squats since October so need to ramp up my reps and really push myself. True story is every time I use the restroom (even public ones) after I finish putting pulling up my pants, I squat! Yes it's that simple. I also choose to do it in the restroom because after having kids I go more often and it's a quick habit to attach to the restroom so that I don't have to remind myself or set a timer to do it. Join me! I want to see your before and after pictures on July 23rd to celebrate my birthday!
